Xiqu Centre, West Kowloon: The Legend Continues – Memorial Exhibition for Theatre Maestro King Sir
Description
Hong Kong's theatre maestro, Dr. Chung King-fai (King Sir), passed away in June this year. Like a dandelion, he spread countless seeds of drama and performing arts to the stage, screen, and schools, inspiring generation after generation of performing talents.
The memorial exhibition held at the Academy for Performing Arts in July was well-received, attracting over two thousand visitors in just five days. With the support of the West Kowloon Cultural District, the exhibition will move to the Xiqu Centre Atrium from 5 September, with the special extension of the exhibition period to one month, allowing more audience members, peers, and travelers to appreciate King Sir's theatrical life.
This exhibition features new and precious content:
Stage costumes and props used by King Sir
Valuable stage video footage
Nostalgic television programs evoking collective memories
Free admission
The organizer has specially planned the 'Master's Creative Footsteps' recommended route, allowing us to travel through the master's decades of creative journey and pay tribute to the eternal mentor.
